Six-screen display is much bigger than yours

TrioGemini27D.jpg

Having a pair of monitors side by side is a handy solution for people who are into heavy-duty video editing or graphics work, but last year we found this massive six-screen array from CineMassive that seemed to be built more with day traders in mind. Now the folks at CineMassive have outdone themselves with their new Trio Gemini 27D, which includes an array of six huge 27-inch 1920 x 1200-pixel WUXGA screens. That's enough to display six 1080p video signals simultaneously.

Quite who this is aimed at isn't clear — perhaps HD-video producers? The other question is how many graphics cards are you going to need to get it all fired up? What we do know is that at $8,500, it costs a lot more than simply buying a half dozen top-notch 27-inch WUXGA monitors. At least they gave this one two pedestals.
