On the iPhone line… again

iphone3Glinevert.jpg

Wait, wasn't I just here a year ago? Yup, right near the FAO Schwarz awning again on East 58th Street between Fifth and Madison avenues at 5:30 a.m., waiting for the iPhone to go on sale at the main Manhattan Apple store around the corner. This year I'm about 20 feet closer, on the near instead of the far side of the awning. The line also isn't as tightly packed as last year's. And there are only a couple of mattresses, just one tent.

But the line surprisingly has wound all the way around Madison Avenue toward 59th Street, surprising since this year's iPhone is much less a mystery than the original. But about half the people I've spoken to don't have the original, so being able to claim to be one of the first to get a new iPhone is all new to them. Newbies. Whaddya gonna do?

Waiting in line for a PHONE!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!

Apple marketing is a black hole. It just sucks people in and they can't make proper decisions.

Tell that girl in the headband I say "What's up?" :naughty:
And she is gonna have to ditch those shoes if she wants to go out....it's like she hikes to the top of a mountain to work in an office building.

iSheep. Unbelievable.

hahaha at least there are some logical people.
just the ones above me that is...

who waits in line for a phone..
this happened last year.

those who wait in line for a piece of tech are fools.
especially if you cant even use it.

I really never understood this. Its a phone, and it has similar capacities as other phones, functions similar to my Blackberry. (note the word "similar")

I would never, NEVER wait in a line like that to get a stupid phone. I have to agree with the people who posted here, as well as the original article I read that linked me here. Its insane, and a major let down.

Now, to be perfectly honest, I have no interest at all in owning an iPhone, but thats becuase I have my blackberry which I love to death. Also, I like my carrier, and lastly, even if I did want the phone, I live in Canada and Rogers Wireless is ridiculous for contracts / rate plans.

I just wish people weren't so easily swayed to do things like this, makes me sad for the human race.

-D

I bet these losers would not even wait at the bedside of their dying mother all night.
