What's it like to wait in line for four hours for a phone? Thanks to the magic of video editing, you don't have to actually sit on a street corner all night to find out. Hit play for a real-time account of reporter Stewart Wolpin's epic wait for the iPhone 3G — from sitting on the street to walking up to the cash register — just sped up so it only takes two minutes. The ending, however, was a surprise to us, too.

Exactly, baleted! It makes sense for a tech forum such as dvice to try and get new gear first (or does it? shouldn't apple send out demo models?) but what about all the other drones? Wait a week and walk in and point. I don't see the appeal in being the first ones to bitch about all the launch glitches. I pride my self in letting the lemmings fill up the cravase so i can walk across. But hey, thats just me. Oh, and foo on Apple, give the man his damn phone.

I'm not a bit surprised. Sucks that that happened but point the finger at Apple not being able to handle the load of people. Apple blows in my opinion. People try to be in their little "Apple click" and it's really funny. They (phones, computers, etc) are made for people who lack imagination and rely on Apple to give them one. Period.

Yeah, I lack the imagination required to make Windows work after having some sort of system fuckup at least once every day for 10 years, on every version of consumer. Period.
