Cyber Figure Alice virtual maid ready to serve millions of lonely geeks

vgeisha1.jpgFrom the department of "you know this cool tech is going somewhere sleazy fast" comes the Cyber Figure Alice from Geisha Tokyo Entertainment. The kit, along with your own Windows XP PC and webcam, gives you the ability to manipulate an anime-like virtual character decked out in maid clothing (yes, like the ones that line the streets of tech mecca Akihabara).

The manipulation (groping?) takes place on your real world desk, and (contrary to the image holograph-like image shown below by the company) you view the action on your computer screen. Pricing has yet to be announced, but when this product hits the Japanese streets in the fall, anticipate a healthy drop in upskirt camera crimes and train-based chikan (pervert) incidents.

This has got to be the saddest, most pathetic thing I've ever seen. The fact that so many failchanners are going to buy this just makes it worse.

Not necessarily, they could use it for teaching anatomy or disectecting in school, building things too. Though if what they say about crime is true that is also good but pathetic for the reason too.
