Check out this photo. Guess what these are. Yes, it's a very special series of tubes. But they're filled with fireworks, folks. Thousands of 'em. Want to see them go off? Head on back to tomorrow when DVICE dons the fire suit and hardhat in Milwaukee tonight for one of the most explosive fireworks displays ever, giving you an up-close behind-the-scenes look at the tech of setting fire to a huge fireworks display involving four simultaneous launching locations and thousands of high explosives.
Hundreds of mortars are getting loaded with tons of pyrotechnics right now, so join us as we peer over the shoulder of renowned fireworks artist extraordinaire Jeff Bartolotta as he electronically unleashes a fury of fire and brimstone the likes of which the world has never known. How big will it be? Says Bartolotta, "You'll pee in your pants." Tomorrow we'll have close-up video and a full report of the bombs bursting in air, just in time for the 4th of July.
