Unbroken line art resurfaces as furniture

line.jpg

Those kooky designers. Now they’ve gone and bent a really long piece of metal and created a living room full of wall accessories. Aykut Erol’s Line Furniture System takes the concept of drawing a complete image without lifting the pen to the decorating arena, providing a couple of lamps, places to hang your coats, a dinky workspace, and bookshelves all in one unbroken line.

While this design concept has a certain simplicity and continuity to it, it looks rather flimsy. Imagine a small and curious child tugging on it, bending it out of shape and maybe even bringing the whole thing down. But hey, it’s chic, and it’s made by a designer! One thing’s for sure, you guests will have never seen anything like this before, unless of course, they’re DVICE readers. But is it art? We'll need an Art-o-Meter to decide.

It's amazing, but I can't see it al home. That wold be great for a restaurant.

This would be really cool in a small apartment.

Great potential concept worth installing in guest room.

This is awesome! I bet if it's poperly attached to the wall behind it, it'll be sufficiently hard to bend or bring down. The designer must have thought of it and used sufficiently durable material.

Btw: Too bad you didn't post a link to the designer:
