The Real Matrix: Hyundai's 3D TV gets Japan-only roll out
The old school experience of viewing movies in 3D is coming to a home theater near you. Hyundai recently unveiled a new 3D television that, when combined with the nerdy glasses shown above, offer a realistic 3D experience via special television programs broadcast several times in Japan. While 3D broadcasts sound interesting, it's a toss up as to whether this will catch on quick enough to supplant the emerging, ultra-cool holographic video space. At 46-inches, the $3,960 television isn't for your casual media drone, but not to worry, according to a company spokesperson only Japanese TV geeks will even get a shot at buying the next generation boob tube.
