The KTC has one gigabyte of memory that you can toss MP3s on, as well as photos and video. Its 15 inch, 1280x720 screen also supports HDTV playback.
With all of the appliances in the kitchen, it's about time one of the most gadget-heavy rooms got some heavy-duty tech. One of these days when blenders and refrigerators and ovens learn to communicate with one another, you'll be able to control them all in a centralized manner with something like the KTC, too.
If you want one of these kitchen nerve centers for yourself, keep an eye out for them in August for $400.

Touchscreen. In the kitchen. Uh-uh. You try disemboweling a rooster and then operate a touchscreen. Kinda messy.
Try gesture and motion detection instead and I'm in.

i must agree with Mark. A device like this in the kitchen would be loads better with some high-tech voice recognition that can free me from using my bacteria infested or wet hands on it.

Maybe a washable plastic cover for those messy hands - one for meats, one for vegetables. And just a quick question Mark - why would you disembowel a rooster?

Just like the Nintendo DS touch screen uses a plastic pen to operate the screen, why not have a wooden spoon by the TV and use the handle end to touch the screen, no matter how many roosters you have disembowelled it will never get messy. Is turning a cook book page any less messy?
