Optical Tone room offers psychedelic trip without illegal substances
As technology merges ever more seamlessly with our everyday life, the intersection between art and technology has become increasingly more common. Bleeding-edge Japanese artist Mutoh Tsutomu takes this art approach into new realms with his Optical Tone installation that uses LED light spectrums in concert with sensors that interact with visitors to create original light compositions. Tsutomu even wrote an "Optical Tone Algorithm" designed to visually distort the viewer's perception of the Optical Tone room. The installation is on display at Japan's Skip City Visual Plaza until August 31, but you can get a taste of the installation online here.
