Everyone likes a cheery snow globe to brighten their day, right? Well, you’ll need a martini after you see this gallery of very special snow globes by artists Walter Martin and Paloma Munoz, experts at using a naïve medium to depict scenes of horror and existential winter.
What? A mob hit where there should be smiling snow men and happy horse-drawn sleighs? The ghoulish sensibility of this artwork makes us feel both amused and appalled at the same time.
If you like the above example, be sure to take a gander at the ghastly gallery below for even more outlandish storytelling under glass. Or shell out $750 to take one of these conversation pieces home, if you dare. It might go well with your toilet made of meat and duck lamp.

So did I. but I'd like to get a couple of these for people if they wern't so much. I could imagine it at Christmas: "Oh what a lovel... err... interesting snowglobe. Thank you... I think."

I think they're pretty cool, actually. They cost way much more than I would pay for a snow globe... too bad.

I feel totally unimaginative right now. These are awesome!

These are a lot like the promotional snowglobe for the movie "Fargo", albeit, much better crafted.
