JBL Control Now Speakers: half Voltron, half donut

JBL-Control-Now-Speakers.jpg
JBL's Control Now speakers work great alone or in a group of up to four units. Each speaker is a $250, 90° wedge that is bought one at a time, and you can sit them on your desk, install them up against the ceiling around your room and even replace your ceiling fan with four Control Now speakers joined together for 360° of sound. Buy a pair and keep them separate or join 'em, join three, four — whatever your needs.

Under the hood, each speaker has two subwoofers, as well as a tweeter capable of pumping out over 100 decibels of sound. If you don't mind paying a little more, the Control Now line also comes in a weatherproof version, in case you want to mount them outside.

Check out the gallery below for more views of the JBL Control Now speakers in a variety of configurations.

For the beauty of design the units still use terminals (High-performance push connectors; removable for use of included multiunit wiring adapter) to get the sound... I was expecting some option of wireless... Now you would have to install wires in the wall and wont be able to move the mount locations too easily if you wish you dwelling looked as wire free... the picture alos makes placing the speakers look so simple and changeable.
