Bikes with bubble blowing machines are not new ideas--they've been in children's toys for a while. But what if the bubbles were made using "green" biodegradable vegetable-based soap, and what if they were filled with seeds? Then bubbles would no longer be just a fun decoration, but a transportation tool that could help bring seeds to areas characterized by concrete (roads and bike paths). The designers at Society Creative llc. have designed a bike attachment for just this purpose called Bloom, an accessory that will help you to "pedal green" into the everywhere you go. According to the designers, "the Bloom device is meant to be a subversive and inspirational tool for our concrete jungles."
The Bloom basically a bubble blower filled with a solution of soapy water and seeds. The advantage of attaching it to a bike is that seeds will fly from your bike all over town. We suppose it could be set up to work on cars as well, but isn't it more virtuous to pollinate the earth and save on gas at the same time?

What about the cost of cities and drain on the environment when those cities send out trucks with workers to remove the new weeds from pavement cracks, etc? Not very "eco-friendly" at all..

So can I put any seeds in or just what comes with it? For instance can I "pollute" any town with marijuana seeds? I mean really, how funny would that be. Sure I could just go out and sprinkle them myslef, but a bubble transport... that just makes for a funny story.

This has to be one of the worst ideas ever, right up there with the Segway.

I love it. I think it's a great idea to inspire children to be environmentally conscious. Just think about how much fun (and exercise) it would be to ride your bike around the subdvision, leaving a trail of bubbles behind you, and seeds to create pretty flowers. Positive, uplifting idea, right along with "Plant a Tree".

planting any old seed everywhere is NOT good for the environment!

You are right 'planting any old seed everywhere is NOT good for the environment'. I mean, what did the world do before man came and organized the environment. It must have just grown wildly all over the place, for millions of years. It must have been a mess. I am so glad we manage to plan our environment and have removed the other seed scattering vermin like mice and birds. Got to get that environment properly organized. Can't have it running wild because then the stronger plants might push the weaker ones out, and that might make Darwin's cookie ideas look more logical to the week minded that don't have faith.
