World's largest LED billboard going up in Times Square
Good news for fans of eyesores and obnoxious advertisements: the world's biggest LED billboard is currently being constructed in Times Square in New York, and it's going to sell you stuff or punch you in the face with lights trying.
The gigantic sign stands a whopping 212 feet high, weights 250,000 pounds, and has 12 million LEDs on board. That high number of LEDs will allow it to show remarkably high-resolution video over the honking din of the most annoying intersection in America. Walgreens, the pharmacy chain, will be plastering its logo and ads all over it, of all advertisers, so get excited about that. Toiletries being sold to us from a 17-story TV. The future is now!
