Nintendo Wii Fit finally comes to the U.S.

wii_fit.jpg

Starting today, the Wii Fit — the accessory to the Nintendo Wii that purports to turn your game console in a fitness center — is finally available to people in the U.S. Well, people in a very specific part of the U.S., anyway… namely residents of New York City, since the Wii Fit is currently only available at the Nintedo World store in Rockefeller Center (next door to DVICE's world headquarters, natch) right now. The other 99.9% of the country will have to wait till Wednesday to get a crack at it. In either case, the Wii Fit costs $90.

We checked out the Japanese version of the Wii Fit (which has been available there since December) a couple of months ago and were suitably impressed, though we had to admit it's not going to replace any gym workouts. We look forward to playing with a version with menus we can actually read.
