This Multimedia Coffee Table reminds me of that spoof video mocking Microsoft Surface, the table-size PC you can now find at AT&T stores. In that vid, a narrator describes how amazing it would be to look at maps — not on a convenient handheld device, but on something the size "of a small car." Substitute "look at maps" for "play music," and you have the MCT, a perplexing concept thought up by One & Co., apparently.
It's beautifully modern, no question, and having speakers and a music library built into a table might be convenient in some situations (if not that portable). But to anyone who likes this functionality but doesn't want to change their furniture, I've got just two words for you: iPod dock.
