Mirage Lamp looks normal, at least from one angle

miracle-lamp.jpgWhen looked at straight on, this "Mirage Lamp" looks to have the shape of your standard lamp, complete with a shade and a base. But when you look at it from any other angle you realize that it's actually made up of 18 panes of glass with different parts of a lamp painted on it.

It's a really cool design, one that throws unique and interesting shadows and patterns of light around due to its strange 3D design. It retains the image of a lamp so it still looks moderately familiar while also being radically different than almost every other lamp out there. If you're looking for a really unique lamp for your desk, you could do much worse. Hit the jump for a view from the side.

not really. look about half way down the screwholes at each corner. u'll notice some metal bits. it probably comes off there for changing somehow.

Ah ok i see. good eye man, i would imagine turning the screw on the front just unlocks the whole cube at that midpoint and then it spearates in halves for easy access, very cool.
