JVC rolls out YouTube-friendly GZ-MS100 camcorder

jvc_youtube.jpg

JVC wants to make it as easy as possible to show your video masterpieces to the world, making uploading to video-sharing website YouTube just a button push away with this GZ-MS100 camcorder. This is the first camcorder we’ve seen that actually has the YouTube logo on the side. That graphic sits there for good reason, too, because if you're YouTube uploading, you can set the camcorder to limit your videos to 10 minutes, sticking with YouTube’s restrictions on uploading length.

This flash-memory-recording camcorder does its magic in cahoots with CyberLink software on your Windows PC, and when you press Upload on the camcorder, Cyberlink takes care of all the messy details for you. Might be a pretty good deal if you’re YouTube-challenged and have an extra $350 lying around. Or you could go even cheaper and get a bare-bones Flip Video camcorder, the $150 sensation that’s nearly feature-free but just as easy to use. On the other hand, this little JVC 'corder has respectable specs.
