Few things in life are more decadent than tooling around in a luxury power boat while going nowhere important. Now, however, you can express your concern for global warming as you cruise across the lake. The 18 foot St Tropez model from Austrian manufacturer Frauscher runs a cool $150,000, and can only manage 5 knots under electric power, but that increases to 38 when you switch over to the Diesel engine. Frauscher didn't supply any figures to show how much fuel the hybrid setup saves.
To be honest, this all makes about as much sense as Jon Bon Jovi arriving in a private helicopter to perform at Live Earth.

Actualy It makes sens!
The article lacks a mention that in port you are alowd only speed of 5 or 6 knots so it's defenatly helping were help is needed the most. now, which is the harbor, where the oils from the engins is despersed out and it takes for ever it to get out of the habor and mix with the sea so it would desolve.
It's only the begining but at least it's a stap in the right direction.

FYI The link to the Chris Craft site goes to a different, electric boat. The hybrid is not posted to their site just yet.
