Bosch improves Tassimo brewer, making it faster, quieter, cheaper

tassimo_bosch.jpg

Making your coffee with a pre-measured pod is about the quickest and easiest way to satisfy that caffeine jones, and Tassimo, one of many offering those powerful single-serve bursts of java goodness, teamed up with Bosch for a significantly improved brewer. Slip a Tassimo T Disc into this LED-interfaced baby, and coffee or tea spews out faster, quieter and uses less energy than ever.

We’re Tassimo users, and have tried most of the T Discs, many of which make coffee better than we’ve ever been able to brew with a conventional drip maker. Heck, you can even get Starbucks blends that taste exactly like a store-bought cup (we did a taste test), and one of our guilty pleasures, Maxwell House vanilla flavor. Sorry, snooty connoisseurs, call us hicks all you want, but we like this pod-brewed stuff for its strength, speed and convenience. Click Continue for more, along with pics of the attractive new colors:

The old Braun brewer currently offered is pretty good, but this new Bosch podmeister smacks it down in oh-so-many ways. Our main gripe with our Braun maker? It’s too damn noisy, loud enough to wake the dead in the pre-dawn hours when it sees a lot of action around here. Bosch has figured out how to make this one a whole lot quieter, according to Tassimo.

You won’t have to fill it as often with its hefty 67-ounce tank, either, and that pesky water runoff problem has been solved by Bosch, too. Selling for under $140, this one we’ve gotta try — look for our review just before the maker’s September ship date.

What is the price of one of these machines and where can I buy one?

Personally, Having used the Braun Tassimo for 3 years. I finally retired it and purchased the Bosch model. Yes it is quieter, It seems to take about the same amount of time to prepare a beverage. My dissapointment is the beverage itself. The coffees is very biiter. and has me switching back to my older Braun.
