We’re Tassimo users, and have tried most of the T Discs, many of which make coffee better than we’ve ever been able to brew with a conventional drip maker. Heck, you can even get Starbucks blends that taste exactly like a store-bought cup (we did a taste test), and one of our guilty pleasures, Maxwell House vanilla flavor. The old Braun brewer currently offered is pretty good, but this new Bosch podmeister smacks it down in oh-so-many ways. Our main gripe with our Braun maker? It’s too damn noisy, loud enough to wake the dead in the pre-dawn hours when it sees a lot of action around here. Bosch has figured out how to make this one a whole lot quieter, according to Tassimo.

You won’t have to fill it as often with its hefty 67-ounce tank, either, and that pesky water runoff problem has been solved by Bosch, too. Selling for under $140, this one we’ve gotta try — look for our review just before the maker’s September ship date.
