Apparently, being cool helps your physical performance. As someone who spends altogether too much time sitting in a chair staring at a computer screen, I don't have what you would call an active lifestyle. But for you superstar athletes out there, this icy vest can apparently take your performance to the next level.
Essentially, it's a vest that's full of ice. If you wear it for about an hour before hitting the field, your endurance will be increased by up to 21%. That seems like a figure that'd be difficult to confirm, but if keeping yourself nice and chilly before a match, game or race could really help you perform better, I don't see why you wouldn't use it.

This is a pretty interesting idea, although I'm a bit baffled by how it will improve performance. I suppose its plausible that it might increase endurance, but the vest counteracts the traditional "warm up" performed in most sports, which, similiar to stretching, plays an important role in preventing injuries.

I have something similar that I use for racing on really, really hot days. It can be a real life saver and it really helps keep your core temperature down. The only problem I have with mine is the extra bulk. My seat is fitted to me without the cool vest on, so when I do wear it it screws up my position somewhat.

The super cooling effect will increase blood flow. The bodies core temperture will start to drop, countering against that, heart rate increases to raise the temperature to normal levels. This will speed up all other internal functions essentually warming up the body by cooloing down. It's a no work warm up.
