Wake up the hippie way, with aromatherapy and soft lighting

aromaclock.jpgNothing makes mornings more painful than being jarred awake by some drivetime DJ or a horrible, harsh buzzer. You aren't meant to wake up that quickly; it just isn't natural, I say. You should wake up gradually and greet the day at your own pace. Unfortunately, most alarm clocks don't give you that option.

Well, the Progression Wake Up Clock does. It wakes you up with a light that gradually brightens and the sweet scents of aromatherapy beads. 30 minutes before you're supposed to wake up the light will gradually warm up. As it does, it'll melt the aromatherapy beads inside, gently releasing pleasant odors into your room, waking you up naturally. Sounds a lot better than what you're used to, doesn't it?

hippify me. if it starts my day out nicely instead of the "eee eee eee eee eee eee !!!" alarm... that would be totally cool maan.

Yeah, I've had one of these for about 5 months now, and let me clear something up: This is a totally paper idea. The reality is that the light glows, the scent emits and the soft sound of digital waves in a 3-second loop fills the room - all while you continue to sleep right up to the 30 minute mark when the absolute most piercing screeching baby-pig-being-slaughtered sound jolts you out of bed faster than any alarm clock you've ever used.

Also, it just fails to work about once every two weeks.... Total crap.
