Symposium RFID wine device knows the ins, outs of crushed grapes

The Symposium RFID wine reader is a conceptual design by Giuseppe Russo that brings a bit of technology to the age-old task of wine drinking. The Symposium Wine Reader is both an RFID wine reader and a temperature regulator. It can detect an RFID tag in the cork of the RFID-equipped wine bottles and provide more than enough information about the drink about to be consumed. It includes such information as the bottle's producer, vineyard, relevant cultural references, traditions, poetry, art and more relating to that specific wine. It also includes a thermal baseplate that will keep the wine at the optimal temperature at all times. Boozing and technology — a match made in silicon heaven.
