While Nintendo has released a "classic" controller for the Wii for use with playing retro NES and Super Nintendo games via the virtual console, it's not quite the same as the old controllers. For one, it has a couple of thumb sticks on it, which certainly weren't on the originals. What's a retro enthusiast to do?
Well, if you live in Japan and are a member of Club Nintendo, you could order this limited edition Super Famicom (SNES in the States) controller. It plugs into the Wii remote, making it wireless, and it's exactly like the original controller. Just looking at it brings back so many memories. Bring this thing Stateside, Nintendo! There's already a Neo Geo controller available, why not this?
