Save the environment by never wasting toothpaste again

toothpaste ringers.jpg

Toothpaste tubes are so inefficient. Whenever we throw a tube out, we feel like we're wasting about a week's worth of paste. It seems like a shame, especially now that toothpaste costs 4 bucks a tube (Tom's of Maine costs $5 in Manhattan!). Getting an extra gadget (like this $6 Squeezit Squeezer) just to solve this problem seems a bit wasteful— more plastic for squeeezing a plastic tube? That's why we dig this multifunctional dental hygiene tool. It's a toothbrush with detachable toothpaste tube squeezer built in. It's not on the market yet, but the independent inventor who created it has received a patent for his idea.

If you absolutely need a toothpaste ringer now, we agree with Core77 that a paint tube ringer is a good, multinational solution. It may cost $10, but think of its other possible uses— it can squeeze paint, super glue, liquid rouge, even tomato paste and cake frosting. Now, we just need to figure out a system that will keep the toothpaste cap from getting embarrassingly messy and gunked up.

Or, you can just use any flat item you have around the house (possibly even your regular toothbrush) to flatten out the tube as you go, removing just as much toothpaste from the tube as either of these items. Additional cost to you: Zero.

I like this one, really. It looks much easier to use than "any flat item" and since it would be saving me a lot of toothpaste, I don't see it as wasteful.

It looks just like my mother's paper-crimper - the kind used for scrapbooking?

As for it being efficient... It's debatable... i mean, it'd be nice to not waste toothpaste... but it's going to happen anyways... :/
