Magnets plus electronics isn't such a ridiculous idea

usbmaghub.jpg

What is it that your mother always says? Don't use magnets around electronics? That may be it, but now mother is wrong. This magnetic USB hub is surprisingly simple, yet very convenient. This miniature USB is less than two inches square and includes four USB ports, including a top mounted port that is great for USB peripherals swapped in and out often like USB flash drives.

The hub has a powerful magnet so it can stick to a desk, computer tower or even a wall and not clutter up the desk like other USB hubs manage to do. One would wonder if a magnetic USB hub would interfere and disturb all of the electrons zooming in and out from the peripherals, but I'll let the electrical engineers worry about that. The hub is available in black or white for $12 each.

Magnet plus hard drive = disaster. This is asking for trouble.
