Humble Aeryon Scout UAV will take a picture of that bald spot you're hiding

The Aeryon Scout is an aerial surveillance vehicle that can take sneaky shots thanks to the camera fixed to its underside. It's a simple machine: it's remote controlled and has four rotors housed by foam casings that'll keep it aloft to take a peek where people can't. Its builders at Aeryon Labs from Ottawa, Canada hope that the UAV will be attractive for law enforcement applications or have a place with the military. It's cheap, too, at only $30,000 or $50,000.
While not the most robust UAV design we've seen, perhaps the Scout will be able to find a niche if it can't unseat the sturdier machines, such as inspecting power lines or the roof integrity of buildings.

Cant you buy those "UAV"'s online for about $100? Add a camera and a little extra remote control, maybe another $500. Thats a pretty neat little deal there..

Thats actually a pretty cool contraption, my question is why it has to be so big. Most other remote controlled flight vehicles are much smaller. Unless ofcoz that the camera they want to use is very big and heavy
