DIY sawed-off USB drive good for data storage, hijinks

Sawed-off-USB-Drive.jpg

Here's an idea for a USB drive you're not likely to see very often: one disguised as a torn cable. The twisted minds over at Evil Mad Scientist have hidden a tiny KingMax USB flash drive inside the end of a USB connector. Obviously you wouldn't want to use the most expensive parts for this as you'll be tearing into both drive and cable, so Scientist got the KingMax for $10 off Ebay and found a cable for a buck fifty.

Surely you'll be able to stage all manner of office shenanigans with your sawed-off drive, from shouting "I've got a live wire here!" to pretending the office klutz severed your cable while tripping over that cord they always do. Everyone will love you.

It'll also keep people from stealing it.
