The NE apartment building is a stylish approach to a motorcycle-centric living solution by Japanese architects Yuji Nakae, Akiyoshi Takagi and Hirofumi Ohno. It features eight apartments separated by seven concrete walls, all of which are accessed by adjacent doors along the inside of the C-shaped structure.
Each two-story apartment also has its own space for a motorcycle, which you can ride on into since the building connects right to the road. The C-shape allows for a courtyard spacious enough that motorcycles can be rotated in the alley, too.
Now, you may be starting to wonder: What about all that noise from the bikes? The inside walls and thick exterior windows are all designed with soundproofing in mind, though there may be nothing that can be done if all seven of your neighbors love choppers.
Check out the gallery below for more views of the NE apartments.

A toilet in the "garage"/entry? That seems like silly design.

Hey, at least somebody's thinking outside the box. Apart from that, this just might be the most hideous, UN-user friendly architecture I've ever seen.

Amusing. I think when you opt to live in an apartment like this you are looking for something extreme and something you can show off as being trendy. I would like to see more of this though.

I would probably be a little claustrophobic living in one of these apartments, but it's a neat idea. If you really want to be motorcycle friendly though you'd want to have a turn table where you park your bike, or even better a second set of doors to let you out the other side so you never have to back your bike out!
