Ikea is converting the Kobe Portliner Monorail in Japan into an innovative showroom in preparation for the launch of its store location at Port Island. Lucky for the display, it's beauty will be fleeting - Ikea will only run the display from April 14th to May 6th.
Maybe I've lived in New York too long, but when I see a train interior like this my mind instantly fills in all the puke, urine and other fluids I don't even want to consider. It's probably for the best that it won't last forever as we'd all just ruin it.
Check out the galley below for more views of the decked out Kobe Portliner Monorail.

Remember, this is Japan. The subways are spotless and the people take great care not to damage property and offend others.
This is probably the ONE place in the world where this could work and not become disgusting within a week.

I completely HATE your picture viewer. Just give me links from thumbnails. Why do you make me re-load the whole page every time?
