Boeing has just completed the first successful flight of a manned hydrogen-cell battery airplane, paving the way for the renewable energy source to become the new standard in air travel. We're still a ways off from it becoming a widespread reality, but this was a big step forward for the tech.

Due to current limitations, hydrogen fuel cells are really only good for small planes, not large, commercial airliners, so that's where the work is currently being done. However, as the technology progresses, look for traditional jet fuel to begin to be phased out so renewable resources such as hydrogen can take over. The skies are about to get a lot friendlier.

Good news! As this and other developments occur we must get clean methods to produce hydrogen. Windhunter.org is a way to get clean hydrogen without human resistance.
