3D Tattoo is like a secret between you and people with funny glasses

3dtattoo.jpg

When we first saw this tattoo, we thought that either the artist or the subject must have been really drunk during the inking. Why aren't those red and blue lines lined up better? It turns out we just weren't wearing the right glasses. It's a 3D tattoo, or at least it's supposed to be… we don't have the special movie theater specs lying around in order to see if it works. Let us know if you do!

We bet that it does work. If not, somebody should get that guy one of these personal tattoo-removing lasers. And for the truly obsessed, here are some trompe l'oeil tattoos that look 3D without glasses.

Does not works, needs to get his money back

Has body modification gone too far? The craze and infatuation over the ever-popular 3D Tattoo is mystifying. The basic idea of a 3D tattoo is to slightly lift a tattoo up about two millimeters. This is done by putting a tiny amount of hyaluronic acid (sugar) under the skin, by means of injection. It goes underneath the tattoo in specific areas of the design to show the shape of the outline and specific points of the tattoo, creating a contoured design. The amazing aspect about these tattoos is that any part of the body can be raised. It doesn’t matter if it’s your cheeks, your thighs or your left shoulder, it can be done. Tattoo Design http://www.tattoobody.org
