Zana Wood USB flash drives add a touch of style to your laptop

ZanaDrive.jpg

Style and USB flash drive are words you rarely see used in the same sentence, but Poland's Zana Design thinks they can work together. While anyone can slap a few gems on a tech device to make it expensive, Zana Wood's line of USB drives are much more subtle, combining exotic Merbau wood, silver, and semi precious stones in a slim and stylish package. Some models even light up the amber stones to indicate when the drive is in use.

While $110 for an 8GB model is about triple the going rate for a more prosaic looking drive, I expect Zana's offerings could be a hit in the corporate gift department. They can even slap your company's name on it if you want.

Uff - now that's a steep price for a 8GB drive. I am not quite sure if I find their designs stylish though. They look rather strange - maybe they have a nice tactile touch to them though.

Generally the market for stylish and exclusive USB flash drives is certainly huge. No wonder we hear of new designs and forms every day.

If you want to keep yourself updated on issues regarding USB flash drives, USB innovations and changes on the volatile NAND flash market you should check out also the USB blog over at www.memotrek.com/blog/

There are cheaper (but 1GB) wood USB drives at www.flashsticks.co.uk. There is a video on the site so you can see what they actually look like.

I got one of the sticks from flashsticks.co.uk and it is pretty good. Smaller than I thought which makes it good for the pocket

..isn't so much about.

Yeah the flashsticks wood ones are cooler

For anyone interested we sell wooden drives in maple, rosewood, walnut and bamboo from 512MB to 8GB. They cost just a little more than normal drives. Say $12 for 1GB.

They are part of our green line of promotional products. See more at www.proformagreen.com
