Wasup washing machine uses its water for your toilet

wasup.jpgThis Wasup concept is a combo of a washing machine and a toilet, reusing the water that cleans the clothes in the washer to flush the toilet. It's a smart idea, as no one cares what's in the water they're about to pee into. It therefore conserves lots of water that would normally just be flushed away.

It's also smart in that it saves space for apartment dwellers, sticking the washing machine above the toilet and saving the floor space that the appliance usually takes up. Of course, you'd worry about dropping your clean clothes in the toilet, but as long as you're careful and coordinated this looks like a pretty great idea that I could see many people wanting.

i love the idea, but man it looks HIDEOUS

It is a good idea, for water conservation, but not in that style of ugliness. Much better to have a holding tank for "gray water" that would be used in that manner.

Okay, call me crazy, but what is with the huge fuss regarding dropping your clean clothes into the toilet? Unless I am missing something here, the toilet has a SEAT COVER. For God's sake, put it down and bam-slam-shabam, no issues... unless you're taking a piss while putting in your clothes, in which case you have many bigger issues to deal with.

What an incredibly ugly and stupid idea. This has to be a joke.

I'm sorry but I always drop clothes on the floor that is just nasty. Oh, my cat might be afraid to use the toliet if this thing works on its own.

"Oh, my cat might be afraid to use the toliet if this thing works on its own."
you have other, much more worrying concerns if your cat is using your toilet...ffs

i think this washer/toilet is a brilliant idea, perhaps if the laundry/w.m. was on the other side of the wall, or gravity fed through a pipe &/or use a larger holding tank/cistern.

Ok all I want to know if were I freaking get one. Europeans have small washers in their bathrooms. I don't have space for that, this on the other hand, perhaps, or perhaps when if I am able to own a home in two years and rent out a floor like i hope, this will be a large possibility in getting for myself. SO is this thing for sale yet or what!?
