Trunk Station lets you squeeze an office cubicle right into your bedroom

City life in Japan must be pretty similar to here in New York City, because they too always seem to be looking for ways to squeeze the maximum use from a minimum amount of space in their homes. The Trunk Station is a great example, a complete home office setup that you can simply fold in half and roll to the side when not needed. The fact that it looks a bit like the Stones left a flight case from their last world tour in your house, is offset by the brightly colored exterior. Personally, I'm at my computer at least once an hour when I'm home, so I can't imagine a Trunk Station in my apartment ever getting folded away.

Kind of... ugly, no? A couple of shelves don't take up so much space, and if you only use your 'desk' for a couple of hours per day (hence the need to fold it periodically), can't you just put the laptop on the coffee table or something?
