The Transformer phone is a new concept that won a Tancher Design Award. This phone has nothing to do with Optimus Prime and his crew, but is capable of performing a whole bunch of different tasks. This phone can shoot photos and video, play music and videos, scan things in 3D, project holograms… oh, and it makes phone calls as well.

The form factor is about three steps past ridiculous and the feature set is something that nobody, besides Obi-Wan, would ever need with a cellphone. To all the aspiring consumer electronics designers: let's start with baby steps, okay? Sure, 3D scanning and a hologram projection is a great idea, but who needs that, really?
