The Power Cart — humorous genius

The-Power-Cart-Mouna-Andraos.jpgThe Power Cart, designed by Mouna Andraos, is an energy generator on wheels. Little more than a few boxes lashed together and strapped to a handcart, the Power Cart has a battery pack on the inside of it which is charged both by a solar panel and a hand crank, and it has dozens of different chargers for all manner of devices. I was even able to find the right adapter to charge my cell — a nearly impossible feat.

While it's impractical by design, its cumbersome form does raise a few question. How easy, for instance, does an environmentally-friendly, all-in-one device have to be for us to adopt it? With the Power Cart, you'd really never have to look at a wall outlet again. It even has an umbrella for those long, rainy nights charging your equally-green electric car.

Check out the pictures below for detailed shots of the Power Cart at the Eyebeam exhibit in New York City.
