The green building movement has come a long way in the last few years, with features such as solar panels, green roofs, and wind turbines being integrated into residential and commercial building designs. But Daekwon Park apparently thinks it's time to crank up the style, put some more pizzazz in these designs, and his entry in the Evolo skyscraper competition looks like a cross between a Star Wars space station and a mutant nanoscience bug.

But don't be mistaken, Park's design isn't as far-fetched as you might think, and has a noble purpose: "a way to reunite the isolated city blocks and insert a multi-layer network of public space, green space and nodes for the city." The Evolo skyscraper competition is aimed at "exploring on new ideas in vertical density," and designs must be technologically feasible and environmentally responsible. If this is what skyscrapers are going to look like in another 50 years, I hope the security guards get to wear Stormtrooper armor.
