If someone were to build this car, people will buy. Maybe not with the technology it proposes, but I'm sure someone could probably fabricate it today with say a very powerful motorcycle engine. There is now a Three Wheeler craze going on( ex. T-Rex, TriRod, Lazareth Triazuma, BRP Can-Am Spyder Roadster, Cirbin V13R,& the SUB G1 ). Even though the Nike One is not a Three Wheeler after seeing these vehicles you can definitely see where a Nike One would definitely stand out and be sought after especially by the present day SportBike,Quad,Indy Race car fans and Athletes in general. It could probably be deemed the 1st Exotic SPORTS CAR for the extreme athlete enthusiast. Just imagine the draw this DREAM Car would have at an Auto Show if someone were to actually build it. I suspect this car would have such a great response from the people; someone would have to seriously consider manufacturing it for the public.

Seriously there are a few questions that need to be asked. Firstly is this an actual mock up or is just something dreamed up in some design program? Where the hell do you fit the engine? what kind of engine would it have? And once you add any kind of engine where would you put the druver since the engine would take up any available space. Otherwise it is one extremely beautiful design and I would love to own one.

you don't need an engine, it's electric. The wheels are themselves are all self driven by internal electric motors. It's hardly a new design. however, this thing is utterly impractical and would ride incredibly rough as it has zero suspension. It's a slick looking design, but beyond being a piece of art is worthless.

the rear wheels would need to be spaced out a bit for real life version - thats where u would put the motorcycle engine or possibly one of the new electric motors (or both) perhaps even make it a bit longer and have room for a companion

It is clear from the pictures that the wheels contain internal electric motors. The support for the wheels looks too fragile to be practical -- especially for rapid vertical acceleration (i.e., bumps). The bigger question is where the batteries or fuel cell would go. On the other hand, maybe this is a real sports machine and runs on a pedal-powered generator? :-)

This is a old design, been around for over a year. It is only a dream concept and was to powered by the energy of the driver. That is why the association with Nike... Currently there are already electric in wheel motors though none connect in the way shown (yet...) all-in-all it is still very pretty eye candy to look at and it would be sweet if someone developed something that looked close to it's design.

It would 'ride like a rock' with no (apparent) suspension and those 'rubber-band' tires. And, where does the power source go? Totally impractical (impossible?) Nice drawings, tho.

That's one dang sweet lookin' car. But with only one seat and no sides to let the weather in, it seems about as practical as a chocolate kettle. I think I'll wait until I'm a millionaire before I get one of these.

A few mods and I can make it work, practical and still keep most of teh design elements. depending on the power source (Li or fuel cell) it could get a couple hundres miles between charges if the top speed is highway safe or under 100 if you want to tear it up!
