Safretti wall-mounted fireplace blends primitive fire with chic sensibility

There’s something powerfully appealing about a wall-mounted fireplace, and this one has a subtlety we haven’t seen before. The Safretti Gaya fireplace places a billowing torch-like flame on your wall, adding a dramatic decorative flourish to your pad while satisfying that firebug jones you know you have.
Looks dangerous. But don’t start thinking this alcohol-burning fixture is going to blast the heat like a real fireplace does — it’ll only emit 7.1kW of heat if you burn a liter of fuel in an hour — but hey, you can’t beat that ambiance. This model is so new, Safretti isn’t listing prices yet, but this kind of high style doesn’t come cheap.

That is beyond cool. Forget purchasing one. What would prevent you from building this yourself? Alcohol burns cooly enough that it won't ignite a good sturdy material.
