Recover data from your broken hard drive with lasers
Having your hard drive crash and losing all of your data is a serious bummer. If your data is really important and not just a bunch of pirated music and funny pictures you found on the Internet, there are companies out there that'll help you recover as much data as possible no matter how badly damaged your hard drive is. But what if you want to do it yourself? Well, get your wallet out.
A company called Retrodata is about to start selling a laser gadget that makes data recovery easy enough for novices to do it. The catch? The gadget will sell for about $7,000. Yeah, like I said, you'd better make sure that data is valuable.
