Racer uses gravity for propulsion, still a head-turner
The Silbervogel Gravity Car, designed by Jakob Hirzel, is a concept racing car that would still turn a few heads even though it isn't a gas guzzling muscle car. The Silbervogel has a detachable top half that covers the driver, who lies down on his back down the length of the vehicle when driving. On the road, the Gravity Car would slowly build speed and, thanks to its aerodynamic design, be able to zip along with very little drag, only inches above the ground.
Jakob Hirzel is a student of Transportation Design at the Pforzheim University Of Applied Sciences in Germany, and his design is an entry in the Xtreme Gravity Series in Irvine, California.

actually, with purpose built tracks that include high banks, long drops(to really get trucking), and maybe even some barrels and loops for pure fun(and stress the importance of momentum management), and you'd have one sport comprised of four tenths balls, three tents adrenaline, two tenths physics, and eight tenths awesome.
