Built mostly from recycled materials, Studio RMA's EcoHouse uses SCIPs (structural concrete insulated panels), constructed from a concrete shell wrapped around a core of foam braced with steel mesh. Because of their exceptional strength to weight ratio, the house can be built with large open areas without any need for lots of structural members. RMA expects the house to be certified LEED Platinum, underlining its eco friendliness.
