Mini Speaker expands like an accordion, hopefully doesn't play too many polkas

mini_cellphone_speakr.jpg

This Mini Speaker is about the size of a hockey puck, and probably sounds about like most of the other small speakers you might plug into your cell phone or iPod. But wait just a minute. This one expands like an accordion, creating a chamber for sound to resonate and giving these diminutive drivers a chance to move some air, pumping out a respectable amount of bass.

We have our doubts, though. The rechargeable unit cranks out 2.4W for 6-8 hours, which isn’t a whole lot of power no matter how big that resonating chamber is. Still, this $31 nugget of sound is small enough to fit in the most cramped compartments, practically begging you to take it along, acting as a willing accomplice to your sudden urge to bust a move.

I own this miniature speaker, and it actually pumps out some amazing sound. The volume levels are quite good, something I was not expecting in this small of a package and the sound quality is also very good (better than any other miniature speaker I've tested).

I also connect it to a PSP, which makes gaming much more exciting and realistic.

Anyone who has a chance to hear this speaker is usually in awe of the sound and wants to get one for themselves.

Thinkgeek has it in stock here (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/speakers/9e68/) for just $24.99, making it an awesome deal.
