CeBIT media wall copies Minority Report, pacifies reporters
How do you distract a bunch of reporters at a tech-heavy media event? Give them a big interactive display to play with.
Reminiscent of the interface from the movie Minority Report, this media wall at CeBIT 2008 works a lot like Microsoft's Surface display, though this one is stretched out as a wall and is quite a bit more transparent. The big difference at the moment is that these media walls, like the one at CeBIT, are little more than gimmicks to showcase the technology, while Microsoft is angling toward a working computer built around its Surface.
