BMW has been hard at work on a prototype of a new super-eco-friendly vehicle, the Hydrogen 7. The hydrogen powered vehicle can also run on regular gasoline at the push of a button, recognizing that hydrogen isn't that easy to come by at gas stations yet.
Recent tests on the Hydrogen 7 have been extremely promising, with it turning out to be "one of the lowest emitting combustion engine vehicles that have been manufactured." The engine actively cleans the air, with the emissions sometimes actually cleaner than the air that entered the car, which is certainly enough for it to be labeled as eco friendly. No word as to if or when the Hydrogen 7 will be available to consumers, but it's great to see that we've come this far with automotive technology already.
