More proof that Japan fully intends to eventually make every anime character come to life arrives in the form of the Black Ox Robot. The robot's characteristics are based on the anime nemesis of Tetsujin 28 (aka Gigantor), the hero robot savior of Japan. Standing at just 1.5 feet and boasting roughly 20 movable axis points, the Black Ox won't bring you coffee, but is independently animated enough to scare the heck out of your pets.
At first glance you might see this as a mere toy worth just a few minutes of interest, but one look at this video of the Black Ox Robot rising like a dark phoenix of the apocalypse come to tame all humanity into robotic servitude might change your mind. Pricing hasn't been announced, but you can check out more footage of your future robo-masters-in-training here.
