Aura cone speaker takes attention away from HDTV

aura_speaker.jpg

The HDTV is usually the center of attention in a home theater, but a speaker set like Paul Scarfe's Aura could upstage it. Aura is cone speaker made with molded glass that produces exceptional sound. The glass is supposed to deliver precise treble, while the bottom of the speaker is a standard bass arrangement. I'm still a little baffled as to why the cone shape isn't used more often in home theater systems. After all, we see cones in most places that people project sound (think bullhorns, rolled up magazines, etc), but in home theater systems the cone shape is very limited.

Aura looks to change that with a cone of resonating glass that can fill a room with audio goodness. And regardless of the sound quality, Aura's looks are sure to impress.

i do'nt want to be a pain , but in home theater sythems cones are al over the place ;-)

you just do'nt see them , why els do you think it's called a "speaker cone"

99% of the speakers out there are cones withe the pointy bit chopped of...

the other 1% are other sythems that vibrate to make air disturbance ea what we call sound...
