Right off the bat looking at this photo I'm going to say it's a bad idea. Not that having a fire pit built into a coffee table isn't really classy and unique looking, but something about putting fire in something made of wood and not expecting a horrible fire to break out seems kind of, well, stupid to me.

But wait, it's eco-friendly! Yes, the only emissions this little fireplace let out are oxygen and CO2 in similar amounts as when you exhale, which isn't too shabby. So I guess that makes it OK. I'll put my family at risk for a horrible burning death, but only if I'm saving the environment at the same time. And that's final!
