Vain watch concept may be too simple

vain-watch1.jpg

You know those type of alarm clocks that displays the digital clock on a transparent and somehow conductive piece of glass? This concept takes that idea to the next level by taking it out of the bedroom and onto the wrist. I'm not entirely sure how the watch works, but it either projects the time onto the glass surface or display it somehow using conductive materials. The designers ensured that the entire piece of overly simple by making the wrist strap just two cables, rather than a real strap.

It may not be a Tokyo Flash, but this conceptual design does deserve some props for being innovative, in an odd, transparent and confusing kind of way. And as a bonus, the watch is capable of displaying the time in Chinese. I love to see conceptual designs with a little personal flair, like multi-language support.
