So you’ve got a mouse gun and a hair-dryer gun, and you’re wondering what to add to your arsenal next. How about a spice gun? I doubt you’ll see these in action in Michelin restaurant kitchens, but for adventurous home chefs it looks like a handy tool. Probably a good way to keep backseat cooks in their place, too.
The description from the Chinese designer, Zhu Fei, leaves plenty of room for interpretation, so let your imagination go wild on this one: “Spice gun is different from the other casters, it has more fun! When you pull the trigger to compress the air in the air bag the handspike will push the bottom of the seasoning bottle to make the nozzle in the turntable to retract and spray the seasoning.”
Sounds like you load it up with an assortment of spices, pull the trigger, and POW — the unsuspecting ribeyes on the grill will never know what hit ‘em. Just don't get all trigger-happy with the salt, capiche?
